The Carat

Diamond carat refers to the diamond's weight, not size. That is why you may find two different diamonds sharing the same carat, but differ in size.

One-carat equals 0.20gram.

Two diamonds may share the same carat, I.E, and weight but have different cuts, shapes, colours and clarity resulting in different diamonds.

This adds to the diamond’s uniqueness, as the possibility of having two identical diamonds is rare, if not possible.

It is important to point out here, a large carat does not necessarily mean a better or a more valuable diamond. As many other factors affect the quality of a diamond, and the cut is one of them.

The Cut

It is the most important among the four Cs because a good cut will result in high-quality brilliance.

The diamonds have a colour grade from D to Z. D is the colourless diamond whereas Z is a light yellow diamond.

The Clarity

Clarity refers to the imperfection in a diamond. The more inclusion a diamond has, the low quality it possesses.

The reason is that inclusions in a diamond affect light reflections, thus the sparkle.
