Types of diamond necklaces

  • As per colours

Yellow gold diamond necklaces are of yellow gold chain attached to the diamond, or in some cases may be a cluster of small diamonds.

Rose gold diamond necklaces are of rose gold chain attached to the diamond, or in some cases may be a cluster of small diamonds.

White gold diamond necklaces are of rose gold chain attached to the diamond, or in some cases may be a cluster of small diamonds.

All these types can come in gold chains of 21-18k.

  • As per the stone

Central-Sole diamond necklaces are necklaces that have one main stone in the centre or are attached to the chain by a loop.

Halo-diamond necklaces are a chain that has more than one diamond in the centre. For example, it may come with a large main diamond surrounded by similar shapes of smaller diamonds.

Cluster-diamond necklaces are chains that have more than one diamond. Diamonds of this type may be clustered to form a unique shape of similar stone in design and size.

Choosing the perfect diamond necklace

In order to get the beautiful diamond necklace you seek, you should consider the main points such as the cut, the design (shape), the clarity, the carat, and the colour. These elements, if chosen well, guarantee a high-brilliance diamond necklace.

Diamond necklaces fit best as gifts for special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, graduations, work promotions, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, New Year, and religious occasions.

The Popular 4cs of diamonds, what are they?

For sure, you have come across the famous four Cs of a diamond, the carat, colour, clarity and cut. However, you may be wondering what they are. What do they refer to? And what is the difference between them?

Let us dig deeper!

The Carat

Diamond carat refers to the diamond's weight, not size. That is why you may find two different diamonds sharing the same carat, but differ in size.

One-carat equals 0.20gram.

Two diamonds may share the same carat, I.E, and weight but have different cuts, shapes, colours and clarity resulting in different diamonds.

This adds to the diamond’s uniqueness, as the possibility of having two identical diamonds is rare, if not possible.

It is important to point out here, a large carat does not necessarily mean a better or a more valuable diamond. As many other factors affect the quality of a diamond, and the cut is one of them.

The Cut

It is the most important among the four Cs because a good cut will result in high-quality brilliance.

It is the only factor among these four Cs that depends totally on humans, so, in order to have a well-cut diamond, you need to have experienced and qualified diamond cutter experts.

At Al Romaizan, our jewellers are well-trained, and they ensure cutting the diamond properly to get the best results.

The Colour

What we mean by diamond colour is the degree of transparency in a diamond. The best and most high-quality diamond is the one that has an absence of colour. Or in other terms, is colourless.

The diamonds have a colour grade from D to Z. D is the colourless diamond whereas Z is a light yellow diamond.

At Al Romaizan Gold & Jewellery online store, we use only colourless and near to colourless colour grade, as we don’t compromise the quality.

However, we do not refer to the fancy-coloured diamonds here. These are naturally coloured and rare.

The Clarity

Clarity refers to the imperfection in a diamond. The more inclusion a diamond has, the low quality it possesses.

The reason is that inclusions in a diamond affect light reflections, thus the sparkle.

Our diamonds at Al Romaizan Gold & Jewellery online store are Slightly Included (SI). These have a slight inclusion in a diamond that can not be visible to the naked eye.

What is the Difference Between A necklace and a pendant?

Many people can not differentiate between a necklace and a pendant, and they consider both synonyms for the same jewellery item. While in fact, these are totally two different jewellery items.

So what are they?

Necklace

A necklace is a jewellery article, as we mentioned above, that is used to adorn the neck area. It comes in various lengths, sizes, shapes and designs. Some necklaces though are called pendant necklaces. So what is a pendant?

Pendant

A pendant is a small piece that comes down from the necklace. It is a separate item that can be purchased alone and attached to any necklace with a loop.

Pendants usually come in different shapes and they can be a good option to customize your necklace. You can have a pendant of your name, letter, your favourite pet, or your zodiac sign for example.

At Al Romaizan Gold & Jewellery online store we have both, diamond necklaces and pendants that come in different elegant designs to suit all tastes.
